HB Performance (aka Hayes Brakes) and Bikeskills have Teamed up for the first Bikeskills SESSIONS clinics. So what’s the difference between Bikeskills’ existing clinics, and SESSIONS? Real simple: SESSIONS clinics are focused on either a single skills area (say jumping, drops, etc.) and, SESSIONS are compact, two-hour clinics. The first two SESSIONS clinics will take place at the Rockville Bike Park (close to Sacramento, CA) and the justly famous Tenderfoot Trail in Mill Valley CA. For additional clinic information, times and locations, read on!
Rockville Rocks Drops and Lines: Join Jiro and crew at the Rockville Bike park and learn how to deal with complex rock gardens, steep drops, and how to size up and execute a tough trail line.
Rockville Bike Park is a great place if you’re looking to take your technical skills up a notch… or two. The actual trail challenges are just a few minutes from the parking lot so you’ll be learning from the get go. The clinic is scheduled for this Saturday (31 Jan 2009) at 11 a.m. The cost is $49. Such a deal! For directions, contact Jiro at Jiro@bikeskills.com
The Tenderfoot Tune-Up: We have been talking about this clinic literally for years! If you don’t know the Tenderfoot Trail in Mill Valley, you’re missing out. Sure, it’s relatively short – about a mile – but given the dearth of legal single track trails in Marin, it’s not only a stand-out, but there are a number of challenges on Tenderfoot – including a couple notorious ones – that very few people can deal with. So if you want to learn how to: deal with the step up before the bridge, nail that radical uphill swithcback before the rock, J-Hop the rock going down hill, drop the gnarled root section at the top, that’s what we’ll be working on this Sunday (1 February 2009) during the Tenderfoot Tune-up. Clinic starts at 11 a.m. Cost $49. For directions, contact Jiro at Jiro@bikeskills.com
