Here’s a little slide show of the Northstar action. We have to tell you that it doesn’t come close to showing how much fun we had!

There was no doubt about who the star was at Camp Tamarancho last Saturday: Katie. Here she is, picture perfect on the DH side of the Olly Oop. This Berkeley High MTB team member has it going on. Notice she has one finger on each brake? Head up? Elbows up and out?

Katie wasn’t the only one taming the infamous Olly Oop. Here’s Alan showing style, control, and complete mastery of the situation. If you’re not familiar with the Olly Oop at Camp Tamarancho, it’s a great challenge no matter what your skill level: got it wired? How about tossing in a track stand just before the last pitch up? Or give it a shot when it’s seal-snot-slippery. Good stuff.

Not to be outdone, Katie’s dad, Dane, showed some skill with perfect J-Hop form. The J-Hop is one of the most powerful tools in mountain biking. The J-Hop and Manual is one of the gateway skills to advanced and expert level riding. Notice how level Dane’s pedals are? That’s essential for the J-Hop.

Here’s a great shot of Joe Lawwill’s clinic this past weekend. It was so hot during Joe’s clinic, that he hasn’t recovered and sent us more images yet. From what we heard, it was a great clinic!

Yes, we brought Worldpeace to Marin! That’s her, Emma Worldpeace, on the far right. Emma and Maureen Kunz led a suberb all women’s clinic on one of the hottest days in years at Camp Tamarancho (it topped out at 101!) That they are still smiles at the end of the clinic says it all.
