This basic skills clinic for beginners and new rider will feature an emphasis on bike set-up, equipment choices and riding skills. Participants will need a clean mountain bike in good working order and helmet to participate. Class is limited to 8 riders max.

Mountain Bike Skills Clinic at Tamarancho (NorCal)

Clinic Includes: core trail riding fundamentals, bike set up, rider critique and trail ride with numerous demonstrations. Students must bring a helmet, water and a clean mountain bike in good working order. Clinic is limited to 10 riders, with a minimum of 4.

Recommended Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate trail rider. Must be comfortable riding single track.

Location: Camp Tamarancho, Fairfax, CA. Camp Tamarancho has some of the best, and perhaps the only true, legal singletrack in all of Marin. While Mt. Tam and China Camp offer incredible mountain bike trails, Camp Tamarancho serves up some of the most technical and advanced singletrack in the area.

Parking – We’ll be gathering at 2020 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in the Fairfax Cyclery parking lot. It’s perfect for getting last minute supplies. We’ll ride to the trail head from there. (you can’t park near the trail head.)

Mountain Bike Skills Clinic (Orange County)

Trail Riding Clinic with Jason Liebrecht. Clinic Includes: Basic trail riding fundamentals, bike set up, rider critique and trail ride with numerous demonstrations. You should be able to go on a 5-7 mile (~2 hour) ride.  Students must bring a helmet, water and a clean mountain bike in good working order. Clinic is limited to 8 riders, with a minimum of 4.

Recommended Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate Email jliebrecht@bikeskills.com with questions. Location: Aliso and Wood Canyons Park. This park is very accessible and has a great blend of trails for working on different trail riding skills. The trails range from basic to highly technical.  This is a park with climbs and will require some fitness to ascend the trails.

Parking: We will be parking and meeting in the main lot.  There is a nominal parking fee.

Riders must bring a helmet, a clean MOUNTAIN bike in good working order, and a way to carry water (suggested minimum: 48 oz) Class is limited to a maximum of 8 riders and a minimum of 4. Excessive heat or rain will cancel.

Clinic Includes: core trail riding fundamentals, bike set up, rider critique and trail ride with numerous demonstrations.

Students must bring a helmet, water and a clean mountain bike in good working order. Clinic is limited to 10 riders, with a minimum of 4.

Recommended Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate trail rider. Due to the technical terrain and topics we will be covering, we recommend that you’ve taken our Tamarancho Trail Clinic first or you can demonstrate fundamental skills. (You should already be comfortable riding singletrack trails)

Location: Rockville Park, Fairfield, CA. Rockville is known for its technical rock gardens. It serves up some of the most technical and advanced singletrack in the area, prefect for learning, practicing and applying new skills. We’ll be spending time in the rock garden, and showing techniques and strategies helpful for riding and negotiating technical rocky terrain. (both climbing and descending)

Parking – We’ll be gathering at the parking lot located at 2149 Rockville Rd, Fairfield, CA 94534. There is a $3 day use fee.

Mountain Bike Skills Clinic at Lake Hodges (SoCal)

Trail Riding Clinic with Jason Liebrecht.
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

Clinic Includes: Basic trail riding fundamentals, bike set up, rider critique and trail ride with numerous demonstrations. Students must bring a helmet, water and a clean mountain bike in good working order.  You should be in fair physical condition as there will be a trail ride as a part of this clinic.

Location: Lake Hodges near Rancho Bernardo Community Park (Map Link) located in north San Diego.  This location offers trails with varying degrees of difficulty with easy access to the trail heads.

Parking – We will be parking on the south east side of the park past the tennis courts.
