| Bikeskills’ Newest Partners |
|
Bikeskills enters partnership with Rodale's Bicycling and Mountain Bike magazines to develop skills videos.
Bikeskills has entered in to an agreement to develop and provide Bicycling and Mountain Bike magazines with a combination of text and video skills segments. The goal of the project is to provide beginner to intermediate mountain bikers a series of practical skill building instructional materials in a multi-media format.
While it’s common to see skills and techniques discussed in bicycle magazines, one of the things Bikeskills instructors have learned is that without having the visual component, it’s very difficult to communicate the complexity of even the most basic skills. By providing high quality video demonstration, people interested in “how to do it” can not only watch whenever and wherever they want, but can slow, stop, re-play, etc. images – something you can’t do with a real time demonstration. It’s the next best thing to actually taking a Bikeskills clinic!
Look for the first lessons to appear in Bicyling’s May issue under the “Owner’s Manual” section. The accompanying videos will be available on Bicycling’s, Mountain Bike’s, and Bikeskills’ websites. But we’re not going to tell you what the first lesson will be. You’ll have to either wait for your magazine to arrive or check back with us at www.bikeskills.com

Sponsor News
Chris Duncan left Trek’s Fisher division at the end of 2005 in order to concentrate on developing dirt jumping skills programs and performing outreach programs at Bikeskills.
While we’re happy Chris is going to be focusing more of his time on making contributions to kids and community, we’re even happier that one of the best mountain bike companies on the planet - and Bikeskills partner - Santa Cruz Bicycles, will be sponsoring Chris during 2006.
Rob Roskopp, Santa Cruz Bicyles’ owner said “Chris is the best dirt jumping instructor, period. What he does at schools, clubs and at outreach programs is as important as anything we can do with our sport and within our marketing programs.”
In addition to Chris’s on-going jumping clinics, look for Chris to play a big role in the Leukemia Society’s and the Sea Otter Classic’s outreach programs over the next few months.
If you haven’t seen one of the coolest mountain bike lines in 2006, look no further than Santa Cruz Bicycles: www.santacruzmtb.com
