With the economy in a tailspin, it’s no surprise that Epic Way Sports is having a difficult time securing funding to continuing research, filming, and production of our documentary on Traumatic Brain Injury, Going The Distance. But that is not stopping us! Over the past couple of months we have self-funded the project and have added three more advisors to our board as well as filmed three more compelling traumatic brain injury survivors. To keep moving forward, we have some ways that you can help yet doesn’t cost you a penny!
If you’re not familiar with Epic Way Sports’ (parent of Bikeskills, Skiskills, and Surfskills) Going The Distance project, you can learn more about it by going to the film’s website by clicking here as well as reading the project right here at Bikeskills by clicking on this link. There’s also a PDF version of the project proposal for potential funders… so if you know any firms or individuals that would be interested, pass on the PDF link that can be found at Going The Distance Proposal
Here’s What You Can do to Help!
Far from asking you for donations, we’re offering you the opportunity to pick up some great bikes, frames, parts, etc. – and at discounts – knowing that the proceeds will keep Going the Distance going.
Right now we have a couple of Santa Cruz bikes, a frame or two, some Fox forks and shocks. You can check out the list on our “Special Deals From Bikeskills” page, or, contact us directly at rhoward@bikeskills.com
