We had a small class this month but that also meant we got to sample a bit more trail!
September 21st, 2014 Girls Trail Riding Clinic
Bikeskills Instructor Inga Beck leads a girls only clinic in Oakland, California. By the end of the session, they not only looked very confident on their bikes, but many of them rode sections of trail that they previously walked. Great job and amazing form, girls!

February, 2014 Bikeskills Skills Clinic at Rockville

We’re posting a lot more photos than usual this month, mainly because we love how pretty it is at Rockville Park! What it lacks in overall mileage, it more than makes up for with its landscape and diversity of terrain. Rockville Park serves up some of the most technical and advanced singletrack in the area, perfect for learning, practicing and applying new skills.

November 11 Tamarancho Clinic Gallery
We’re getting our first major downpour of precipitation here in the Bay Area, and our indian summer is now definitely a thing of the past. On the flip side, it’s the perfect time to change a routine that has possibly gotten a bit stale. For us it’s time to tap into our indoor options a bit more, hit the climbing wall or the gym, and get our latest gallery posted. This one is from our recent November skills clinic at Camp Tamarancho. As you can see, the weather was amazing, and it was a great day to be on the trail working on new skills with great group of enthusiastic riders.
On a side note, our next clinic is now posted and open for registration! Unless it’s dumping, (in this event, we’ll reschedule) we’ll be talking more about techniques for conquering wet roots and rocks this time around.
If you did a clinic with us this year already, we’re changing up the format a bit so folks can repeat the classes. Stay tuned for more details!
September 16th Trail Riding Clinic Gallery
This month’s trail riding clinic gallery was brought you to courtesy of my new 40mm “pancake” Canon prime lens. Who says you can’t carry an SLR camera with you on the trail and still have fun riding?
For our camera buffs out there, these photos were shot with my backup camera body, a Canon 40D.
July Clinic Gallery
We had a nice sized group for July’s mountain bike skills clinic at Tamarancho, and as usual, we all had a great time working to get everyone dialed in. We recorded everyone’s neutral position and looking at our gallery below, it is interesting to see how the different cockpit configurations effect where one’s neutral point would be. Note that these were taken at the beginning of the day, as we often move steerer spacers to dial in the handlebar height of riders on the trail.
